Scotland Boy Scout Troop Visit Update

The time has changed for the troop from Scotland.  They will be arriving Wednesday anywhere between 1 and 3:00.  We'd like the boys from our troop to be at the Hattie Street Dam Building (back entrance) between 1 and 1:30.  We'll wait for them to arrive to be there to greet them.  If you're dropping the boys off, I'll have my cellphone for them to call when we're done.  Hope you can make it!

Wednesday, July 1st, the Boy Scout troop from Scotland that we meet with about every other year will be in town.  They THINK they will be in the area at about 3:00 that day.  We have been trying to pin down an exact time but that's the best they can do. They are hoping to be more exact on Tuesday.  Since we've had a few emails with questions about the visit, we thought we would include information at this time.  We will be meeting at the Menominee Dam (Hattie Street) and the group from Scotland will be there around 3:00.  It would be best if we are there about 1/2 hour before they are scheduled to arrive.  Most of them have toured the facilities already so I'm not quite sure what they have planned.  Treats will be served and frisbees will fly.  It's a great opportunity to interact with the boys and leaders of their troop and help welcome them to Wisconsin.

The Moving Wall - Vietnam Veterans Memorial

The Veterans Wall committee needs boys willing to carry flags that represent fallen soldiers that are on the wall from our area.  They really need 20-21 boys.  Those boys interested will meet at Marinette High School at 2:00 p.m. in your CLASS A uniform on Saturday, July 4.  Please consider this as we feel this effort is very important!

Matt Johnston is coordinating this so please CALL MATT JOHNSTON before 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. His telephone number can be found in the corresponding email.

Summer Camp Mix-ups

Somehow there has been a big mix up with shirts this year.  As you launder your son's summer camp clothing, please make sure they belong to him.  Several people have varying sizes of troop shirts and class A shirts that do not belong to their sons.  Please bring these types of things to our next meeting so that they can be exchanged. Thanks!

Cycling Merit Badge Update

We will be meeting at Mr. Olson's house on Wednesday, July , 2009, at 5:15pm to complete the second of our two 25-mile rides. Since this will be a significantly longer ride than past ones, we will be starting at 5:15pm instead of 6:00pm. Bike lights will be needed, as Monday's ride got a bit dark. And remember to bring plenty of water. See you Wednesday!
